Manuel Robledo

President of the group

Manuel Robledo, currently President and partner of Comess Group, has extensive experience in leadership positions within the restaurant and foodservice distribution sector in Spain. Before taking on his current position, he was the General Manager of Jumbo hypermarkets (now Alcampo), general manager of Grupo Alfaro, general manager of Dagesa, Distop, and Sucasa Supermarkets, founding partner of I&R Partners consultancy (M&A Operations), partner and Delegate Adviser to Cafeterías California, and partner and General Manager of the Zena Group.

He is also President of the Pedreña Marina (Puerto Deportivo Pedreña), President of Theme Restaurants (Real Café Bernabeu), and Of Council to the Siro Group, Araven, the Flores Valles group, La Despensa Supermarkets, and National Geographic Spain.

Manuel Robledo has a degree in Economics from the Autonomous University of Madrid, an MBA from the Business Institute (Instituto de Empresa), and has completed the San Telmo International Institute’s ADECA program.

Javier Royo-Villanova


Javier has ample experience in the restaurant sector, having held various positions of responsibility in the finance department of companies such as Cafeterías California and the Zena Group.

He has a degree in agricultural engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, an MBA from the University of Barcelona, a master’s degree in Financial Management from the Center for Financial Studies (CEF), and has completed the San Telmo International Institute’s ADECA program.

Mariano Perea

General Purchasing Manager

Mariano has ample experience in the restaurant sector, having held positions of responsibility in the Operations department of companies such as Cafeterías California (Operations Manager) and the Zena Group (Head of Logistics).

Perea has a degree in Sales Management and Marketing from ESIC, a master’s degree in International Commerce from the Complutense University of Madrid, and has completed the San Telmo International Institute’s ADECA program.

Ignacio López-Chacarra

Head of National and International Expansion

Ignacio has a degree in industrial engineering from the Pontifical University of Madrid (ICAI), an MBA from the Pontifical University (ICADE), and has completed the IESE Business School’s PADE program.

López-Chacarra has extensive experience in the management of international brand franchises.

Eduardo Céspedes

General Manager of the Lizarran Brand

Eduardo has a solid background spanning over 10 years in the organized hospitality sector, working in the Marketing, operations, and brand management areas. For four years he held the position of Local Marketing Manager at Telepizza. In 2007 he was hired by Burger King as Head of Marketing for the Mediterranean division, and four years later he joined KAM Food Services as Marketing and Brands Manager. After that he went on to FoodBox to manage the Volapie Brand in 2015

Eduardo has a degree in Business Management and Administration from the University of Cantabria and holds an MBA in Sales, Marketing, and Communication Management from the FSAG Business School.

Sara Vega Gil

Marketing, Communication, and CSR Manager

Sara has a degree in Information Sciences specializing in Political Communication and Management from the UCM, a master’s degree in Communication Management from CESMA Business School, a master’s degree in Sales and Marketing Management from ESIC Business and Marketing School, and is part of the executive program for women in upper management “Proyecto Promociona” at ESADE Business and Law School.

With more than 10 years of experience in the areas of corporate marketing and strategic consumption and communication, Sara has been linked to multinational brands across diverse sectors from the very start of her career.

Up until joining Comess Group, she served as head of Marketing, Communication, and Institutional Relations for the Restalia Group, and prior to that worked for communications consultancies such as Burson-Marsteller and Tinkle for international clients from sectors including wholesale distribution, airlines, technology, and film. She has also worked in marketing and communications for various companies from the electronic entertainment world such as SEGA, VirginPLAY, and Ubisoft.

Eduardo Gonzalo

Systems and Processes Manager

Eduardo has a degree in IT Engineering from the Comillas Pontifical University (ICAI) and a master’s degree in Information Technology Management from the University of La Salle.

After a varied 16-year trajectory in the organized restaurant world with McDonald’s, where he held several different positions all the way up to the chain’s head of Support, Installation, and IT Infrastructure, Eduardo Gonzalo joined Comess Group with the aim of overseeing the company’s switch to digital, both at POS level and the company’s internal processes.
